Spectacular sandstone pillars and lush forests inspired Avatar’s landscapes, Wulingyuan surrounded by a sea of clouds is like a fairyland falling into the mortal world.

Grand Canyon & Glass Bridge
In Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon, the plunging waterfalls, the dense trees, the fresh air, and the mist on the stream make you feel like you are in an otherworldly sort of place. A spring meanders in the canyon, along which are trails built with planks. On the way, you can see the longest and highest glass bridge in the world as well as the karst landform in the north temperate zone. Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon skywalk is 430 meters long, 6 meters wide and 300 meters high, the longest and highest glass bridge in the world. It provides a superb panorama of the entire grand canyon.
Wulingyuan National Forest Park
The park is located in the picturesque wulingyuan territory, recognized by UNESCO as a world heritage site. It is famous for its sandstone landforms, precarious peaks, limpid streams, dense forests, and large karst caves. More than 3,000 mountain peaks of various shapes are congregated here in the park, forming a spectacular scenery. The most picturesque of them – “column of the south sky” 1080 meters high, which in 2010 was officially renamed “mount avatar alleluia” in honor of the famous film “avatar”. The mountains have peculiar shapes, often surrounded by fog and mist giving visitors a view similar to the drawings of a traditional chinese painting.


Tianmen Mountain
Tianmenshan National Forest Park is named after the natural wonder “Tianmen Cave”. When visiting the Attraction, you must take a cable car about 7,500 meters long, you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the mountains hovering between the cliffs below. The elevation of Tianmen Mountain is 1518.6 meters, this place has absorbed the essence from the nature for thousands years, Tianmenshan National Forest Park is full of towering ancient trees and entwined vines, it is regarded as the Heaven Mountain in the west part of Hunan province and the sprit of Zhangjiajie.
Huanglong Cave & BaoFeng Lake
Huanglong Cave is an important part of the Wulingyuan and is a typical karst landform. The area of the cave is very large, with a height of more than 100 meters, a deep dark river, and dense stalagmites. Among them, the “Dinghai Shenzhen”, which is 20 meters high, is an iconic attraction. Visitors enter the cave, walk for a while, then board the ship at the pier on the dark river in the cave. Here, you can see the wonders of the stalagmites.
Baofeng Lake is a component of the core scenic spot of Wulingyuan in Zhangjiajie. It is located in the south of Wulingyuan District. Baofeng Lake Scenic Area has become the representative of Wulingyuan waterscape scenery with its beautiful lake water color and steep cliffs. The TV drama “Journey to the West” in the Huaguoshan Water Curtain Cave is shot in the scenic area of ”Qifeng Waterfall”.
